About EarthCraft
Established in 1999 by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and Southface, EarthCraft is a green building certification program that serves Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina. By addressing the factors that impact homes in this region, including high heat, humidity and temperature swings, EarthCraft serves as a blueprint for energy, water and resource-efficient single-family homes, multi-family structures, renovation projects, community developments and light-commercial buildings. Rea Estate Professional Training
The EarthCraft Real Estate Professional Training consists of a three-and-a-half-hour classroom course which is good for four continuing education credits (approved by Virginia Association of Realtors.)
This course covers building science basics, green building benefits, unique features of an EarthCraft project, techniques for identifying categories and demographics of green home buyers, strategies for marketing green buildings and information on policy and mortgage incentives for purchasing energy-efficient buildings.
